Washington Adventist University (WAU) officially celebrated its new, $1.8 million artificial turf ball field in Takoma Park, Md. today with an opening ceremony and the first men’s soccer home game. The field includes updated lighting, a new score board and new bleachers.

After unexpectedly receiving $9,000 of booth rental space for free, Far West End church (Richmond, VA) members began preparing for FitFest, a two-day fan appreciation event held by the Washington Redskins.

The Agape Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church (Silver Spring, Md.) celebrated its organization into church status, August 23.  “We felt God’s calling to plant this church,” said pastor Fausto Salazar. “We are filled with great joy as we think back on our journey and see where we are today.”
