Charles A. Tapp, president of the Potomac Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists, releases the following statement regarding the retirement of Dave Weigley.
“The retirement of Dave Weigley from the Columbia Union Conference marks the conclusion of an illustrious career of dedicated service. Having served as the president of the Potomac Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists from 2002 to 2006, he demonstrated visionary leadership during his four-year tenure. Dave was blessed to be able to expand his influence and impact during his 18 years as union president. Recognized as a visionary leader at Potomac, Weigley carried forward this vision to the union level, encouraging members to actively share Christ’s message of hope and wholeness while preparing them for His imminent return. As Dave embarks on this new phase of life, we extend our heartfelt prayers for God’s continued blessing over him. Additionally, our thoughts and prayers remain with his dear wife, Becky, as she bravely faces health challenges, particularly her ongoing battle with cancer. May God’s grace and strength accompany them both during this transitional period.”
