We’d like to welcome Wirmin Alcantara to the Potomac team! Wirmin accepted the undertreasurer position at the beginning of the month. He previously served as undertreasurer for the Texas conference and has worked for the church in a number of other capacities including as ABC manager in the West Puerto Rico conference, accountant for the Arkansas-Louisiana conference, assistant treasurer and the first human resources director for the Texas conference.
Wirmin holds a degree in business administration from Antillean Adventist University (Puerto Rico), an MBA with a concentration in finance, and is working on his master’s in pastoral ministry from Andrews University (Mich.). Wirmin was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to a ministerial family. As a pastor’s kid he moved around, growing up mostly in Puerto Rico where he was raised for most of his childhood and all his adolescent years. He and his wife Yanil have two children.
We are excited to have the Alcantara family in Virginia and are blessed to have this committed, God-fearing servant leader on the team!
