For a milestone birthday Dr. John Wagner, Shenandoah Valley Academy’s (New Market, Va.) first alumni principal in over 50 years, celebrated by skydiving unto SVA’s campus. Wagner prayed for the outpouring of God’s blessing and guidance for the campus has he dropped from the plane. This celebration was also to raise awareness and money for the SVA Alumni Association’s Open a Door – Sponsor a Scholar student scholarship fund.
More than 50 percent of students rely on financial aid to attend SVA. The school’s tuition assistance fund helps students overcome financial obstacles so they may join the SVA family. The aid is vital to the many families who are working hard to invest in Christian education and is only made possible through the generous support of donors.
The Open a Door – Sponsor a Scholar effort is a powerful way to help drive enrollment, directly enabling as many students as possible to experience the school’s benefits. Visit SVA’s website to meet three SVA students who have benefited from Worthy Student Donations.
