Over a holiday weekend, the Pulaski (Va.) church family, located in a small town in southwest Virginia, received a blessing. Stephanie Cressell and Brenda Spencer, who had been attending church and studying for several months, chose to be baptized, sealing their attachment to the Lord and the church. That Sabbath was especially special as it was the final Sabbath with Pastor David Tripp, who retired at the end of December.
Spencer had attended a year-long Bible study some time back and had been attending church, but had never completed the baptismal process, while Cressell, married to a church member, had recently felt the need to make a full commitment to Jesus. The church was packed with members and guests who were anxious to be a part of these beautiful pledges.
With grateful hearts, the members of Pulaski welcomed these newest members into fellowship. The service itself was very inspirational and Pastor Tripp completed it with a call for others who might wish to become part of the church and accept the invitation to committ to Christ. God has truly blessed the Pulaski Church with these two new members!
