We are pleased to announce that Josant Barrientos, former children’s pastor at Community Praise Center (Va.), has accepted an offer from the Executive Committee to serve as Potomac Conference’s Youth Ministries Director, beginning Jan. 1, 2015.
Josant is currently studying for his Master of Divinity at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. and has served in a number of capacities for the Potomac Conference. He has been a part of many youth congresses, evangelistic series and youth retreats around the world. Josant is a gifted speaker and has an incredible talent for connecting with all ages and cultures. As Potomac’s youth director, Josant will not only focus on event planning, but also finding ways for youth to connect within their local churches.
In 2007, Josant graduated from Columbia Union College (Md.), now known as Washington
Adventist University, with a degree in theology, an emphasis in metropolitan ministry and a minor in Biblical languages. Four years later, he graduated with a master’s in business administration. Joining Josant will be his wife, Claudya, who currently serves as Potomac’s conference clerk. We invite you to join us as we welcome and pray over this couple as they continue moving the Lord’s work forward.
