Four decisions were made to follow Christ at the Mountain View Church in Floyd, Va, July 18. After the morning services, everyone anxiously awaited the baptisms, with friends and family present to witness this special event.
A portable baptismal pool had been setup outside on the church grounds where Pastor Darry Campbell baptized the candidates. Another dear lady joined by Profession of Faith. All enjoyed a fellowship lunch together welcoming the five new members. The day didn’t end there, after lunch, a church dedication was held. President Bill Miller challenged the church to be dispensers of Christ’s love and truth to others. A history of the Mountain View Church was presented by Bill Bank and Ernie Belcher, Bill Banks, Rick Labrea and Cheryl Rogers shared special music selections. The day ended with a renewed purpose and challenge for the members of the Mountain View Church.
