Shenandoah Valley Academy (SVA) is delighted to announce that on July 1, 2015, Janel Haas Ware, graduate of the Class of 1986, will be joining the administrative team as Director of Development and Alumni Relations.
For the more than three years, Janel has made a significant impact through volunteerism at SVA where for the past two years she has served as Alumni Association President and as a member of the SVA Board of Trustees. With her influence, alumni engagement and giving has seen a marked increase. As a volunteer, she has strengthened friendships for the Academy and brought key stakeholders and donors together to invest in the school’s future.
In her new role, Janel is eager to continue to champion and develop a broader base of support for SVA. She says, “It has been an incredible blessing to give and volunteer for the sake of the alumni, students and ministry of SVA. My prayer is that many more young people and generations will have the opportunity to experience the unique and life-transforming Adventist boarding education SVA offers. One of the greatest blessings of my life has been to know and experience Christ’s love as a member of the SVA family. I want to help more young people experience that blessing!”
Principal Dr. Dale Twomley says, “Janel has served so passionately as a volunteer for SVA that it took a little arm-twisting to have her agree to join the administrative team. However, I am confident she will apply the same enthusiasm and professionalism she has demonstrated as a volunteer while further strengthening important relationships among the alumni and investors. Janel’s efforts have contributed towards, and will continue to solidify Shenandoah Valley Academy as a financially viable and sustainable school of spiritual and academic excellence. I am excited to have her leadership at SVA.”
