On Nov. 12, Potomac administration had the privilege of welcoming Pastor Darry Campbell into the gospel ministry through ordination. Campbell says his family was led to the Adventist church through a series of miracles, which included their introduction to the Sabbath by a Catholic priest. Following his high school graduation from Blue Mountain Academy (Pa.), Darry joined the U.S. Army and served for two years in Operation Whitecoat at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md. There, he met and married his wife, Ginny. Following his discharge from the Army, Darry became a recognized businessman; named business man of the year in Wisconsin and listed in Who’s Who in American business seven times.
Darry later went on to serve as the Vice President of Evangelism for the Lake Union Chapter of ASI for several years and provided seminars on small group evangelism. During their last 10 years with ASI, the Campbell’s took nine evangelistic mission trips to Thailand, where they had the privilege of seeing over 250 people accept the Lord in baptism.

Darry says he is grateful for parents who were not satisfied with just being called Christians, but who actually were Christians and for the love and support of a beautiful Christian wife as a partner in ministry. They are thankful for all of the loving and caring people in the various churches they have been privileged to serve. They currently pastor at the Galax, Wytheville, Mountain View Company and New River Valley churches in Virginia.
