Welcome, Delegates!
Thank you for your willingness to serve as a delegate to the Second Quinquennial Constituency Meeting of the Potomac Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists. The following material contains all the items our constitution and bylaws requires you to have prior to the meeting. Please review this material carefully. It has been divided into sections for easy reference. If you have trouble accessing any of the information, please contact us immediately at 540-886-0771, ext 207 or email us at Deniseh@pcsda.org. It is important that you bring this material with you to both the delegate orientation meeting and the constituency meeting by means of your laptop, tablet or a printed copy (if you have chosen to print at home). Thank you for being an important part of this event. Please join us in praying for the leading of the Holy Spirit as we reflect on the blessings over the past five years and sense God’s leading in the years to come.
How do I view the materials for the constituency meeting?
Below, and to the left, is a list of materials in nine different sections. Please note that the information does not display properly in all internet browsers. We recommend using Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari. Information can be found by following these steps:
- Click on words in left column (in light blue), under Material Sections
- An image or images will appear to the right (on some tablets, it may appear below)
- Click an image to open
- A digital magazine reader will open (on mobile devices it will open in a new tab)
- Flip through magazine pages by clicking on the arrows on the left or right of the respective pages (or swiping).
- Zoom in by double clicking (or tapping) anywhere on the page.
- Skip multiple pages at a time, by clicking different sections of the separated bar at the bottom of the magazine preview.
- Some documents are indexed, meaning when you click on the table of contents and you will be navigated to that page (please note that this feature is not available on all tablets).
- To exit the magazine preview, push the “esc” button on the upper left corner of your keyboard or click on the two arrows pointing at each other on the bottom right of the magazine preview. On mobile devices, magazines will open in a separate tab, simply close out of that tab.
On a desktop or laptop computer, each document can be saved separately while in the magazine preview mode by clicking on the first icon that appears on the bottom right (arrow coming out of a page). You also have the option of downloading a PDF that contains all the material (33mb) by clicking on the last tab named “All Documents,” and then clicking on the button title “Download All Documents,” click save. To save information to a mobile device, click on “Download All Documents” and follow the directions listed.
Delegate Orientation Meetings
Eight delegate orientation meetings are held before the constituency meeting. At these meetings, delegates are shown the process of downloading material and are presented with the major motions that will be voted on at the day of the constituency meeting as well as key material changes. Click the green button below to access highlights of the document related materials presented at the delegate orientation meetings. Note that the red page numbers correspond with the page numbers (also in red) in the PDF available in the”download all documents” section.
