Getting together to accomplish mission creates more strength, more vibrancy, more celebration. Cultivate is an unfolding movement, encouraging us to live each day as a disciple of Christ; going beyond ‘this is how the church does it’ to ‘this is what I’ve been doing in my personal life to bring people to Jesus.’ The church moves with its disciples.
There’s power when we work together and energy in numbers. For 2017, we have encouraged every church member, student and faculty to be involved in a personal ministry—making friends with their neighbors, helping with an evangelism program, breathing in the energy of living a life for Christ. By the end of June, we will have had members from more than 110 churches uniquely engaging with their communities. We expect even more churches to join the movement as the year goes on. Imagine 34,000 disciples, roughly the membership of Potomac, becoming agents of transformation in their world of influence!
Part of your unique ministry could be inviting people into your home to watch live-streams of certain evangelism events happening around Potomac; wecultivate.org provides a list as well as provides updates and information on how you can support this initiative. We want Cultivate to be a movement that honors God. Please consider being part of the Cultivate Prayer Circle and joining us each Wednesday at 7am, April 5-May 31, on Facebook Live (@wecultivate). We pray 2017 is an incredible year of harvest.
