“He doesn’t just tell you things,” said Stephanie Calder, “he takes his time and shows you. The biggest impact he’s had on me are the things he’s taught me, not only through the Word, but the way he lives his life. ” Daniel Royo, pastor of Piney Forest, Stuart and Martinsville churches, is perhaps best known for his Biblical knowledge, compassion and for being an excellent teacher.
Three pastors were recognized with videos and a certificate of excellence at Potomac’s pastors’ meetings this fall. “These individuals are dedicated to the ministry and are willing to go the extra mile,” said President Bill Miller.
“When I first met him, I knew he had a special gift,” said Damien Johnson, senior pastor at Seabrook. “I am blessed to hear him tell stories and interact with the kids.” Jeremiah Green, youth pastor at the Seabrook church, is known as the ‘kid whisper,’ parents are constantly amazed at how he effortlessly holds their attention.
“We have had non-Adventists join our church just because of his children’s ministry program,” said Rebecca Munoz. “When I first met Pastor Obed [Rosette], he impressed me as a very balanced and kind person,” said Luci Liedke. “He’s someone who inspires a lot of confidence.” Members of the Richmond Evangelistic Center know Rosette for taking genuine interest in people and for his love and encouragement. “I’ve seen how he has helped us move the church forward,” said Dina Alvarez. “He motivates us to go ahead.”
