ALUMNI AWARDS FUNDATION | The Alumni Awards Foundation (AAF) will host its fourth Renaissance Adventist Education summit in Washington, D.C. April 24, bringing together a group of distinguished leaders and church laity to discuss critical concerns facing Adventist K-12 schools in an effort to revitalize Adventist education.

The summit, held in the Grand Ballroom of the Bethesda North Marriott from 2:45 to 8:30 p.m., will include focus group discussions to discern and prioritize an agenda for awakening change in Adventist schools.

AAF recognizes that while church membership is growing, enrollment in Adventist schools is decreasing. The nonprofit organization has taken the initiative to find solutions to the challenges by calling on some of the most influential people in the Adventist community to help them facilitate a rebirth in Adventist education. After receiving a groundswell of support from summits held in Riverside, Calif., Chattanooga, Tenn., and Orlando, Fla., AAF decided to host additional events in Washington, D.C. and Portland, Oreg. (summer 2010).

These think tank events convene the voice of concerned people who are passionate about seeing growth and excellence in Adventist education.
