Dr. Raymond R Pichette, Vice President of Pastoral Ministries has spent over 29 years in the ministry. He pastored in the Minnesota and Florida Conferences before coming to Potomac Conference. Ray received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2000. His disertation was written on discipleship. Ray is passionate about training pastors to become better servant leaders. 

 

Ray's beautiful wife Yvonne is a nurse and they have three adult children (Danielle, Michael and Lisa).  His hobbies are running half-marathons and reading. 

 


Glenn Altermatt

Glen Altermatt, has served for over 23 years in pastoral ministry as Pastor, Director of Church Growth, Stewardship, Adult Sabbath School, and Development/Trust Services Director. His current position is Associate for Pastoral Ministries/Evangelism.

 

He has a passion for preaching and the lost. He desires for God's last day Church to make relevant and meaningful connections in the communities they serve. He has spent most of his ministry in multicultural ministry settings in Fort Lauderdale and Miami with his last church consisting of over 1000 members with 57 cultures and nationalities. The churches, where he has served, all experienced dynamic growth both spiritually and numerically and one year celebrated 100 baptisms and Professions of Faith. Glen says, "I believe that all God's Churches can be healthy and growing making Disciples for Christ."

Jose D. Esposito

José Daniel Esposito Forciniti emerged from a family of Italian missionaries. He has more than 25 years experience working in pastoral ministry. He has served the Lord as an evangelist, ADRA director, Youth and Pathfinder director, Personal Ministries director, Sabbath school and Ministerial in South America. He has been serving the Lord in the Potomac Conference since 1997 as a district pastor, evangelist and currently as Pastoral Ministries Associate for Hispanics.  He began his studies in Riverplate University where he received a Bachelor's degree in Theology. He has a Master's in Public Health from the Adventist University in Chile, through Loma Linda University. He has recently finalized his Doctorate degree in Divinities at Andrews University. He has held evangelistic campaigns in the majority of the countries in the three Americas, the Caribbean, and Europe. He is married to Carmen, who is a six grade teacher at J.N. Andrew School. They have three children: Paolo (Degree in Theology and Communications), Romina (Medical Student), and Melissa (Completing 10th grade in Shenandoah Valley Academy). His passions are winning people for Christ through home churches, planting new churches, training disciples for Jesus, and preparing the church for Christ soon return.

Bob Banks

Bob Banks, a native of New England, served as the senior pastor of the Patterson Avenue Church, in Richmond VA for 15 years. During his time Richmond, a church plant in the West End was established. Bob graduated from the University of Connecticut, where he received a BA in History. After graduation, he served as a Bible instructor in southern New England. He later received his MDiv from Andrews University Seminary. While serving in his first pastorate, north shore of Boston, he met his wife Joanie, from Memphis Tennessee. After pastoring a second district in central Massachusetts years, Bob moved with family, including his son Timothy and daughter Emily to Richmond VA. In 2000, he completed a doctorate from Andrews with emphasis on spiritual development. Bob enjoys hiking, biking and spending time with family and friends.

 

 

Franklin David

Franklin G David is currently the Senior Pastor of the Southern Asian Seventh-day Adventist Church (SASDAC), member of the Columbia Union Executive Board, and Indian Representative to the Washington Adventist Hospital Board. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Spicer Memorial College, India, and a Master’s degree in Theology from Andrews University. Pastor David’s achievement in the United States is the establishment and construction of Southern Asian Seventh-day Adventist Church, a ten million dollar facility in Silver Spring, Maryland, with about a membership of 50 in 1988 to over 800 today.

 

Pastor David is a third generation Adventist pastor. His father, Pastor D. S. David and grandfathers, Pastor P. K. David and Pastor S. Thomas were pioneer workers in the Adventist church in India. He began his career in India in the year 1975 and has served the church as Director of Ministerial School, Vice President of the Bible Society, Administrator of Hospital and Pastor. His greatest achievement in India was to pioneer Adventist medical work along with his wife in Bangalore, which resulted in the establishment of a hospital there. The hospital which started with a one-room clinic is one of the best Adventist hospitals in India today.

 

His wife, Elizabeth is a cardiac nurse working for Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. They are blessed with two daughters, Shalini and Malini who are married and settled in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Karen Olsen

Karen Olsen is a recent arrival to the Potomac Conference office.  She has held a variety of professional administrative positions, i.e., (the National Park Service, a dental practice and at Shenandoah Valley Academy).  She holds a BS in education from Salisbury State University.  She and her family have lived in Maryland, Virginia and Alaska as they have followed her husband’s career with the National Park Service. Karen enjoys traveling, gardening, and working with the elderly.  Karen and husband Gordon have three grown sons.
