Pastor Kermit Netteburg celebrates the baptism of its newest member, Bonnie Anthony

BELSTSVILLE SDA CHURCH | This is what you call dedication! On one of the snowiest days we've seen in well over a decade, between sixty and seventy people weathered the winter storm to meet at the Beltsville Church to celebrate the baptism of its newest member, Bonnie Anthony. What made this especially unique is that many of those in attendance were guests from other churches that were closed that day (Beltsville was one of the few churches in the Washington D.C. area that held services that Sabbath). In addition, there were 55 sites watching online, with multiple people at many of those sites. In other words, there were more online worshipers in attendance than there were in-the-sanctuary worshipers. It truly is a new day! To paraphrase our Postal Service Creed - "We are mothers and fathers. And sons and daughters. And Pastors. Who every day go about our lives with duty, honor and pride. And neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night, nor the winds of change, nor a nation challenged, will stay us from the swift completion of our appointed rounds. Ever "
