The Miller's have three children. Their son, Dwight, is a medical student at the University of Virginia. Their daughter Brianna is a student at Southern Adventist University.

Bill was born in McMinnville, Oregon. At the age of 4, his father was killed in the Columbus Day Hurricane of 1962. They moved to Angwin, California to be close to relatives and to be able to attend Adventist Christian Education.

In college, Bill sensed he was being called to the gospel ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is desirous that all have the privilege of hearing, understanding and accepting the beautiful message that God has given His last-day remnant movement in anticipation of Christ's soon return. That because of His grace and love, each person has the honor of being the children of the King.

A fellow disciple on the journey. . .

Karen Cress
Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives
Office Ext:201

There’s nothing on earth closer to God’s heart than the local church! In fact, He says, the local church is “His body.” Being a third-generation Adventist and a second-generation pastor, plus being married to a pastor and having a son and brother-in-law as pastors, Karen has experienced 'God’s body' in every conceivable way. Prior to moving to Potomac in 2011, she was the Vice President for Leadership Development in the Rocky Mountain Conference after serving as an Associate Pastor for Worship and Nurture for twenty-five years in a variety of churches – each one part of 'God’s body.'

In Potomac, Karen’s focus is still on 'God’s body' and investing in the health of every single church. Her personal mission is to “bring out the best in others, no matter the cost.” Helping churches identify what they are 'best' at and connecting that strength to their community need is part of Karen’s passion. Assisting leaders at all levels of the organization in a laser-focused purpose and direction is another passion.

While Karen is a commissioned pastor, what she is most proud of is her family. Her husband, John, is Vice President for Pastoral Ministries in Potomac. Her daughter, Jennifer, completed her Masters in Vocal Performance and works in Denver. Her son, Tim, is planting a church in downtown Denver along with his wife and daughter.
