William 'Bill' Miller was elected President of the Potomac Conference in 2006. Prior to coming to the Potomac Conference he served as President of the Minnesota Conference.
He has been an associate, youth and senior pastor in two different districts. He has also served as a VP for Administration in the Washington Conference, Youth Director of the Northern California Conference, and also Youth, Sabbath School, Community Services, and Temperance in the Hawaii Conference.
His wife, Sally, is a Nurse Practitioner and has also been a labor and delivery nurse. She presently serves at the University of Virginia in an administrative post and teaches a cohort for the Nursing Department.
The Miller's have three children. Their son, Dwight, is a medical student at the University of Virginia. Their son Calvin is at school at Loma Linda in the School of Pharmacology and he is married to Jewels who will be starting medical school at Loma Linda. Their daughter Brianna is a student at Southern Adventist University.
Bill was born in McMinnville, Oregon. At the age of 4, his father was killed in the Columbus Day Hurricane of 1962. They moved to Angwin, California to be close to relatives and to be able to attend Adventist Christian Education.
In college, Bill sensed he was being called to the gospel ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is desirous that all have the privilege of hearing, understanding and accepting the beautiful message that God has given His last-day remnant movement in anticipation of Christ's soon return. That because of His grace and love, each person has the honor of being the children of the King.
